Bio
Marina Furman serves as Jewish National Fund-USA’s (JNF-USA)
Executive Director of National Major Donor Advancement and has been with the
organization since 2002, when she was the Eastern Pennsylvania and Southern New
Jersey Executive Director.
Born and raised in Kiev,
Ukraine, Furman became a refusenik at the age of 19 and spent ten years
fighting the Soviet dictatorship to allow freedom of immigration and religious
expression. Marina has been featured in numerous publications including the CNN Headline article “Defying the KGB:
How a forgotten movement freed a people.” Marina has also published articles in The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, Jewish Exponent and many others.
