Bio
Kobi Marom is a research associate at The International Institute for Counter Terrorism of the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, where he specializes in analysis of Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terror groups in the Middle East . He had a storied career in the Israeli military, commanding an operation to rescue Ethiopian Jews in Sudan’s desert in 1984, serving as brigade commander for the Eastern Front in South Lebanon, and heading the Hermon Brigade. He frequently speaks to audiences such as Jewish communities as well as diplomatic, political, and philanthropic delegations. In 2010, he hosted White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel during his visit to Israel’s northern borders.
