Bio
Stephen Gilson is a professor of Interdisciplinary Disability Studies at the University of Maine and a Senior Research Fellow at Ono Academic College in Kiryat Ono, Israel. He is the co-founder and president of the Evaluation Practice Group, a non-profit organization that focuses on the development and funding of projects to advance human rights and equality of opportunity. Mr. Gilson received the American Public Health Association’s Allan Meyers Award for Scholarship in Disability and has published dozens of academic papers and books on the topic, including Rethinking Disability and Disability as Disjuncture.
